When to use a Submersible Pump
With the advances in the plumbing world such as dishwashers, washing machines, toilets and showers,a larger volume of water became a requirement. Able to pump higher volumes of water from greater depths the submersible pump will out perform a jet pump any day of the week.
Picture this sceneraio:
You have a family of 5 in a 4 bedroom 3 1/2 bathroom house. Dad is outside watering the garden, Mom just started the dishwasher. Little Johnny and Little Bobby (Twin Boys about 9 years old) just got done having a dirt war in the backyard and are both in seperate showers fighting over the hot water supply. Susan, the teenage daughter who is grounded from her phone and is helping mom with the house chores, just started the washing machine.
If our happy family was getting their well water through use of a jet pump, then somebody wouldn't be getting enough water leaving the possibility of damaging their dishwasher and washing machine. Fortunate enough for our happy American family, Dad had his well driller install a 4" well with a submersible pump.
